2008 has been a wonderful year for my wiggle butt Boxer boy and I. As the late bloomers that we are, we didn’t step into the Basic Obedience classroom till he was 1 1/2 years old and we have been learning together ever since. “Roberto El Tigre CGC, RN” has outdone himself in my eyes. He earned his first Rally Novice leg with a qualifying score of 97 with a 4th placing in November with the Virginia Beach Kennel Club. We took a trip to Durham NC, with the intention to finish his Rally Novice title and try out for our first leg in Novice Obedience. He qualified for his second leg with a 95 and zipped up the title with a 99 with a 2nd placing. The third day at the trail was the nerve-racker (first leg, try for his CD) but he wiggled his way through it and qualified with a 195 and placed 4th. I am so proud of him. The highlight of the weekend of 12-14 of December 2008 was that he also received a huge ribbon for HIGHEST SCORE IN WORKING GROUP. I have since then acquired two extra wrinkles that extend from the corners of my lips up to my ears.
I have many thanks to all the folks at HROTC and for letting me be a part of them. It is not the club that makes the club, it is the people that make the club.
